On October 21st, 2011, I decided to go ahead and do something I've wanted to do even since I wrote the "A Birthday Present for Rachel" album in six days - and that was to write an album in one day. Twenty-four tracks, preferably one every hour, each hour, on the hour, for a full day. So, I woke up and did it, recording the times as I went. As you'll notice, it took me twenty-eight hours and thirty-two minutes - a little longer than a day (finished at 2:59 PM on the 22nd) - but hey; you get tired trying to come up with that much shit that doesn't sound the same in one day. A big-huge-giant-gargantuan thank you to my dear friend Elise Wallace for taking the photograph for the album cover and to the lovely Jaclyn Maffetore for drawing the stretching woman under the tree and for editing the cover together via digital awesomeness.

For those of you curious, here were the ingredients involved in the composition and recording of this album/experiment:
Four cans of Mr. Pibb
Three bottles of Dr. Pepper
A can of Mellow Yellow
One-half of a Founder's Porter (alcohol puts you to sleep - quickly found out that was a bad idea)
Twenty milligrams of neversleep (courtesy of Mike Sweetser)
Four pieces of two-then-three day old papa john's hawaiian pizza
Two pieces of two-then-three day old papa john's cheesey bread
Hibachi chicken takeout (courtesy of Jaclyn Maffetore)
and
A unique Telecaster/Esquire hybrid guitar (courtesy of Christopher Sizemore and present on nearly all tracks with guitar sections)
... the rest is a secret.
